Whitefish made it’s place on this list independently at number four. However, together they may just offer the ultimate ski experience. If you're up for a little extra travel, this trip offers some of the most epic terrain for a fraction of what you'd pay at larger resorts.

Montana Snowbowl and Whitefish together offer over 4,300 acres of terrain, more than 3,700 feet of vertical, and a mix of everything you could want—steep chutes, wide-open bowls, and long, fast runs. It's the perfect combo for the skier looking for adventure and challenge.

Although the trip requires one night in a different accommodation, it’s incredibly doable—and worth it for the variety and quality of skiing you'll get.

This trip offers unbeatable terrain, amazing snow conditions, and the chance to ski two top-notch resorts in one adventure. The drive between Snowbowl and Whitefish is a bit longer, but the sheer variety and quality of skiing will more than make up for it. Plus, the total cost is a fraction of what you'd pay at larger, more crowded resorts.

Day 2: Ski at Montana Snowbowl, then enjoy the scenic 2.5 hour journey to Whitefish for accommodations after a full day on the slopes.
